Canada’s historic Regiment has a story that has been inextricably linked to Canadian and North American history for over 250 years.

The Rangers trace their roots back through some of the most notable conflicts and events in our history, such as the Seven Years’ War, the American Revolution and the founding of York (Toronto). Many of the streets in the city were originally built by the Rangers. Click here to view a map of some of the Ranger built roads in present day Toronto.

To this day, the Regiment and the Regimental family continue to contribute to the communities of Toronto and Aurora, of which they are proud to be a part.

The Regimental Council of the Queen's York Rangers is a registered charity that provides support to the Regiment, its soldiers and to the other elements of the Regimental Family. For more information about joining our Council and helping to support our Regimental Family, Click Here.

"Crews, not individuals, fight in mechanized warfare, and the crews must train together, know each other’s strengths and weaknesses, know their machines. When it works, it is magnificent and irresistible."
