HCol Darrell Bricker

Darrell Bricker was appointed Honorary Colonel of The Queen's York Rangers in 2010 and served until 2021. He continues to serve the Regiment as Honorary Colonel Emeritus.

Bricker is Chairman of Ipsos Public Affairs Canada, an organization that conducts corporate reputation and social research around the world. A division of Ipsos, the company has offices in numerous countries and employs hundreds of research professionals.

Dr. Bricker holds a PhD in Political Science from Carleton University in Ottawa and BA and MA degrees from Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo. He is a recognized leader in his field and a prolific author, including the best-selling books *The Big Shift*, *We Know What You're Thinking* and *Breaking Point: The New Big Shifts Putting Canada at Risk*.

Prior to joining Ipsos in 1990, Bricker was Director of Public Opinion Research in the Office of the Prime Minister. He also worked as a research consultant for firms in Toronto and Ottawa.

Bricker appears frequently in the media as a commentator on political, social and business issues and is a regular speaker at industry, government and academic conferences.

He is also a passionate supporter of Canada's military. In addition to his service as Honorary Colonel of The Queen's York Rangers, he is a member of Canada Company, an organization that supports the families of Canada's soldiers. He has also served on the campaign cabinet for Fort York, Toronto's oldest military facility.

In recognition of his support for Canada's military, Bricker was awarded a commendation by the head of the Army.
