Nominate a Ranger Vet to go to Vimy

Fellow Rangers,

We need your help.

The Regimental Council has been invited by the Federal Government to nominate a Ranger veteran join the official Government of Canada delegation that will travel from 5 - 12 April 2017 to attend remembrance ceremonies and events in France, including the signature ceremony on 9 April at the Canadian National Vimy Memorial.

The veteran who is nominated may come from any era of service, but should be comfortable sharing his military experiences and have the ability to make informal presentations about his experiences to other members of the delegation and the public. The veteran must also be physically capable of making the trip.

Is there a Ranger veteran that you would like to nominate? I welcome any suggestions that you might have. Please send your suggestions to me directly by email at, including contact information for your nominee. Please send your suggestions as soon as possible. Suggestions received after 20 Jan 17 might not be considered. The veteran to join the delegation will be chosen by the Commanding Officer and the Regimental Council.

Thank you for your help.

Donald G. A. McKenzie,

Lieutenant Colonel (Retired)

Chair of the Regimental Council
